Community Relations Event September 2007

As part of a strategic move to foster inter-community contact and cross-border understanding, the Odyssey Trust in September 2007 hosted a successful social event, attended by members of the Tallaght Welfare Society from Dublin and the North Belfast Senior Citizens Forum. On their arrival, the visitors attended a reception at which the Trust’s chairman, Mr Alan Gibson delivered a short address welcoming the guests and explaining the work of the Odyssey Trust and its vision for the future. Immediately afterwards, Mr Gibson presented the leading representatives of each group with a gift of crystal ware. Following a buffet lunch, the guests were treated to a Lagan boat tour and visited the Arena before departing on a shopping trip to Belfast city centre.
